love this salon

I live in Merrimack and have been searching for a great salon for quite some time. I finally found it! My experiences at Salon Aquavit are exceptional. The staff that works at the front desk are very friendly and professional which is rare at most salons. The hair stylists are very knowledgeable. I've been twice. The first visit I received a fantastic highlight for less than $100 from Sacha. My second visit I had my hair cut from Meredith. I was so happy that I didn't have to pay extra for the blow dry and style like I've had to at other salons. For the first time I didn't have to go home and fix my hair. I definitely recommend Salon Aquavit. I have heard good things about their esthetician but I haven't had a chance to book an appointment. I'm hoping I will earn a free facial soon with the rewards program that they have.

Talented stylists

I have always had the best service from Salon Aquavit. The stylists keep up with current trends and advanced education. I can always count on consistant service. They are a great color salon and had me hooked when another salon botched my hair and they were there to make it beautiful again. I think their prices are average and you really get what you pay for. Worth it!

Not a good experience!

I went to this salon to get some extensions for a new look over the summer. Well When I called up the salon they told me that the extensions that I wanted to get were a certain price. but when I got there that week for my consultation, they told me that they had upped the price (100 dollars) and instead of just saying that they were going to honor the price, they were thinking about if they should honor the price for me or not. Well they matched my color up and ordered the extensions....they came about 2 and a half weeks later....then when they matched up the extensions to my hair again... it was totally off!!!!!!!!!!! Not even close to my natural color, and the stylist was trying to play it off as "two toned looking" When I had specifically made it clear in the begining that I wanted my extensions to look as natural as possible. Well the stylist reorded them for me but they were too red. So she just colored them for me.... but like 2 washings after the color had washed out and now I have to get them re colored! IT is soooo off and I look like a fool walking around with red chestnut extensions in my natural medium ash browm hair....this was a total dissapointment. I'm not sure that they knew what they were doing. Hopefully another salon could fix it for me.... like another review said, I think that the prices are way too over priced when you could get the same, if not better done at any other salon. I hoped I helped ! ;)

Expensive

The stylists are very professional and its a very elegant salon but exceptionally pricy for services you could get done the same way for much less. Even a simple haircut is extremly expensive. I would say visit here once in a while to spoil yourself but definately not somewhere you want to make your regular salon!!!
